Indian River Trip!

We will be leaving from Glen's parking lot at 12 PM on Tuesday June 12. Class A uniforms should be worn during travel!

To participate in tubeing or rafting at Big Bear Adventures, you must be qualified as a "swimmer" under BSA guidelines. If you have not been skill tested for swimming, we will do so at the public beach. Check with our BSA qualified lifeguards, Chris C. or Wil S. for details on what swimming skills are required to meet "swimmer" classification.

Tuesday evening will be a beach party with dinner at the park. The adult leaders are looking forward to a wonderful meal prepared by the Crew! The "lock-in" at the Arch will kick off at 10 PM. You are welcome to bring personal electronic devices, such as I-pods, CD players, video games and John Denver 8 track tapes. Board games, card games, etc. are also welcome. Remember - you will be responsible for any personal items that you bring with you!

Breakfast Wednesday will be at the Arch. Wednesday activities will be up to the Crew - there is mini-golf, trail hiking, sight seeing, shopping, etc. available. Lunch will be at a fast food restaurant of our choosing and each Scout is responsible for their meal. We expect to depart around 3 and return to Gaylord at approx. 4 PM Wednesday.

What to bring: Clothing appropriate for the weather (extended forecast looks good - sunny & warm). Rain gear / poncho (just in case - you know what they say..."Be Prepared!") Jacket or sweatshirt might be needed for Tuesday evening at the beach. Swimsuit & towel, personal grooming items, and money for Wednesday lunch and any other personal shopping you may engage in.

Permission slips have been e-mailed. There will also be some available before we depart on Tuesday. You must have a completed permission form, signed by parent or guardian to participate in this Crew event! Contact Mr. Marsh or your Crew Officers with any questions!
